Changes have reportedly been made to the HGS electronic toll system’s toll violation enquiry and payment screen. According to Son Dakika, citing NTV, the new process requires identity verification through e-Devlet rather than allowing transactions using a licence plate number alone. Vehicle owners can sign in to e-Devlet through a browser, select the vehicle in the Araçlarım (My Vehicles) service and open the Geçiş (Crossings) section. If an unpaid crossing is listed, the payment process can be accessed from that screen. The report said this payment option was not yet available in the e-Devlet mobile application. Drivers using a borrowed vehicle need to contact its owner because this screen does not provide access to vehicles registered to someone else. The change concerns the online process for checking and paying debts arising from toll violations.
