Istanbul flood toll rises: Three people reported dead

The death toll from heavy rain in Istanbul reportedly rose to three after a body was found in Kağıthane.

Another death was reported in Kağıthane’s Sadabad area following the heavy rain in Istanbul. According to Son Dakika, a man’s body was found caught against a bridge support beside a stream. The man, reportedly in his 40s, is believed to have died in circumstances that may be connected to the flooding. Police have opened an investigation to establish what happened. The report said the discovery brought the number of rain-related deaths to three, while searches continued for four missing people. Two deaths had previously been reported in Fatih and Sarıyer.
